Pre-production
Jellyfish Room
For Wodr, I was tasked with storyboarding the second scene inside the Jellyfish Room. In my boards, I was given a lot of creative freedom, and I knew that I wanted to convey a fun and whimsical moment between Willie and Splash. I had to work within our films three minute time restrictions so I wanted to make this scene short and sweet.
Color Scripts
For the Color scripts I wanted to tell a story not only with the animation, but also the colors themselves.  Our protagonist Willie starts out sad and isolated as he hasn't gotten over the death of his grandfather, so I chose to have a monotone scene with only blue colors to reflect that sad, cold, isolated feeling. Then as the story progresses and Willie works through his grief, we add more colors into the pallet as they progressively go from cool tones to warmer ones until we end with warm reds and yellows
